Backup the critical files (usually just the VOC file). These instructions assume you are going to restore to .

Unix Stuff

  1. Get everyone out of (including yourself)
  2. Shell out to UNIX as super-user
  3. cd to the dir just above
    • cd /av1/igi/avante98/flodata/dev
  4. Remove any files from a prior data refresh
  5. Backup the VOC (and optionally SYSTBL & DSCTBL)
    • cp /VOC ./VOC.DEV
    • cp /SYSTBL ./SYSTBL.DEV (optional)
    • cp /DSCTBL ./DSCTBL.DEV (optional)
  6. Verify that the copies worked
    • ll (should see the files from the copies above)
  7. Once all backups have been made, remove the account
    • rm -r
  8. Restore the account from a backup (Ronnie)
  9. Restore the VOC (but not the other files - records should be copied one at a time as/if needed)
    • cp VOC.DEV /VOC

Avante Stuff

  1. Log to
  2. Update the title at the top of all SB menus
    • OS.ED SYSCON HDD
    • Replace the account name with and the date/time of the backup
  3. From the SB menu, run
    • TAX3001 and change:
      • Rates & GeoCode path to \/usr/vertex33/dbproto
      • TDM & Register path to \/usr/vertex33/dbproto
  4. Reset Optio to points:
    • Run SYS3062 (Form Link Setup) and change:
      • LIVE_DWLINK to _DWLINK
  5. Run SYS3061 (Process To Forms Link) and update the following forms:
    • Enter SOP5003
      • Change the iConnect Agent number from 92713 to 92613
      • Override printer from LIVE_avxml to _avxml

  6. Run DCM9012 to re-set the Bartender Label profiles
  7. At TCL, type RUN DEV.DSC.IIUTIL FIX.INVPLAN.PTR. This will loop through field 2 of SYSCON PLANNING.GROUP, checking to assure to assure a VOC record exists for each, and if not, build it.
  8. If copying to a location that is not in the normal account/realm structure (like ), you need to build a symbolic link to dldata:
    ln -s /av1/igi/avante98/flodata/dldata /dldata
  9. Clear files & folders:
    1. Run CLEAN.SYSTEM (which cleans IICONTROL and IIWORK)
    2. _HOLD_
    3. _PH_
    4. FTP.ARCHIVE
    5. PERL
    6. SAVEDLISTS
    7. The 3 EDI dirs
